Kami a useful tool for ELL teachers

Kami is a useful tool for teachers to give feedback to students on earlier drafts of their written work. The feedback can take the form of (a) written remarks, (b) audio comments, and (c) video clips. Of course, students have to submit their written work as a PDF file first, but since Kami integrates with Google Classroom, teachers can easily open their students' work and start giving comments.

Of course, teachers can also mark up the drafts in many different ways.

The function of giving comments and marking up the pdf text is not confined to the teacher. Students can also add comments, which are either text, audio, or video, to their written work. This is good for students to share their thinking with the teacher.
